Objectives

The Equal Opportunity Cell is established to address concerns of staff and students from Scheduled Castes/Tribes, Other Backward Classes, minorities, and Persons with Disabilities (PwDs), ensuring continuous support and inclusive policies.

It aims to empower individuals with disabilities to participate fully and equally in all aspects of college life, including academic, intellectual, social, and cultural domains.

Functions

  • Ensure equity and equal opportunity to all, promoting social inclusion within the college.
  • Increase diversity among students, faculty, and staff while eliminating discriminatory perceptions.
  • Provide psychological counseling and support for Persons with Disabilities (PwDs).
  • Identify avenues to assist SC/ST, OBC, minority groups, and PwDs in meaningful ways.
  • Develop barrier-free admission and registration procedures for disadvantaged students.
  • Address grievances of marginalized communities and provide appropriate resolutions.
  • Coordinate with government and external agencies to mobilize academic and financial support.
