Essay Writing Competiton

Theme - World Kindness Day, the day inspires people to appreciate the kindnehosted and positive power in society

An Essay Writing Competiton was organized by IEEE SB CCE in collaboration with IEEE PES SBC CCE on 15th November 2022. A total of 10 students participated in the competition and wrote on the theme. The programme was conducted through offline mode.

Academy Lectures by Industry Professionals

Dept. of EEE along with IEEE CCE starts a new initiative named "Academy Lectures by Industry Professionals (ALIP)" in which industry experts deliver academic lectures to our students. As its first programme, Mr. Sarath S Nair, Scientist E, Sree Chitra Tirunal Institute for Medical Sciences and Technology (SCTIMST), Trivandrum will be delivering a lecture on "Ventilators: Heart Lung Machine & Infant Incubators" on 20/04/2023 at 1:45 pm through Google Meet to S6 EEE and S8 ECE

An Annual General Meeting 2022 was conducted on 02.03.2022. The main agenda of the meeting was the release of newsletter, website launch, annual report and introducing the newly elected Exe-com members. The session began with a prayer song by Krishnapriya K Kaimal. Branch Councelor, Mr. Sunil Paul welcomed the gathering and briefed the IEEE journey from its roots. The presidential address was given by the Executive Director, Rev. Fr. John Paliakkara.

Gesture Control and Line Follower Robotics

29th April 2022

IEEE SB CCE has organized the Gesture Control and Line Follower Workshop on 29th April 2022. The workshop included the basic programming needed for a line follower and Gesture control to the working of high level robots. The participants were able to work on real working robots, which was a great experience. A total of 50 students joined the workshop.

ELEKTRO - TEQ

a National Level Project Expo

E-Quark in association with Techletics'22 presents ELEKTRO - TEQ, a National Level Project Expo in collaboration with IEEE IA/IE/PELS Jt. Chapter Kerala, IEDC CCE IJK and IEI. The event had participants from whole over the south India. The participants exhibited great ideas and it was a tight competition. The event got excellent feedback and the event was an overall success.

TOPIC: 𝐷𝙚𝑠𝙜𝙣 𝙖 𝘾ℎ𝙖𝙧 The criteria for evaluation were Utility of the product and Ease of manufacturing. The participants were able to bring together practicality, creativity and most importantly engineering.

NOVA is a two-day residential series of workshops on Robotics and Drones organized by IEEE Kochi Subsection & IEEE Kochi Hub in collaboration with IEEE SB CCE. The event provided attendees the chance to sharpen their abilities and to gain exposure in Robotics and Drones, the most significant modern innovation. A 5-day induction programme was conducted for 5 branches of newly admitted first year batch, where our SB volunteers hosted many events which included networking games, workshops, etc.

Doodling Competition

Doodling is a fun way to draw beautiful and original designs, with cute and child-like characters or random and abstract patterns.

As part of Halloween celebration, IEEE SB CCE in association with IEEE PELS SBC CCE organized a Halloween Doodle Competition to sharpen the creativity of young minds to boosting their productivity, focus and mood.

Cloud computing

It’s true. The cloud offers access to data from anywhere, at any time, on any compatible device.

IEEE SB CCE in association with INFORMATYKA 2.0 has specially organized a session on Cloud Computing on 5th November 2022. Mr. Udesh Udayakumar, GCP Infrastructure Engineer was invited as an expert to enlighten the students on the topic. The key point started with discussing very fundamental concept of cloud computing to make the students familiar with the actual insights. The session was very beneficial in current industrial context.

Dustbin Donation

Great speeches and articles won’t help people understand, our action will.

Throwing Garbage in the bins/dustbins is a good practice and which do not require to convince people verbally only but with some practical examples. People learn more from visualization. Therefore, IEEE SB CCE has contributed dustbins to create awareness that by throwing a single candy wrapper into its right position can safe you and many future lives from many pollutants and hazards.

Theme - World Science day for Peace and Development

An online quiz competition titled Scribble was organized by IEEE SB CCE on 10th November 2022. The objective was to underline the importance and relevance of science in our daily lives. A total of 20 students participated in the competition and has contributed to the success of this event.

IEEE SB CCE hosted an online meme-making competition on 12th December 2022. The main objective of this competition was to observe how the world looks like through an Engineer’s eyes. There was an overwhelming response to the contest. There were visible efforts from the participants. The winners were selected solely based on the creativity and effort put into the work

FIFA Quiz Competition

IEEE SB CCE in association with Tavasya has conducted FIFA Quiz competiton for die-hard football lovers. The energy and enthusiasm of the students brightened the competition. A total of 75 students have participated in the competition.

Feed the Needy

Even a small considerate act can amount to great measures for the right ones.

Happy and grateful to share that IEEE SB CCE in association with Tavasya, has managed to distribute 200+ meal packages and other food items to Government Medical College hospital, Thrissur, and nearby retirement homes, Snehabhavan and Pratheeksha Bhavan on 7th December 2022. This heart-warming initiative has been successful in many ways, thanks to the timely contributions of the students of CCE in the form of home-cooked meals and other snacks.

cogniz, Your Gateway to Engineering

Engineering graduates are impacting the world unlike any other using their innovation, creativity and a wealth of knowledge.

The event was organized for high school students to gain a practical exposure of an engineering college. They were also provided with workshops on Robotics and Canva software. They were allowed to visit different labs inside the college. The school students were delighted with the visit to the college and the exposure they gained.

Photography Contest

Vintage is not simply a fancy visual effect, it is the expression of our balancing act between our memory, the now and the coming.

IEEE SB CCE in collaboration with CSI Student Chapter, IEDC CCE & Code organized a photography contest on 15th December 2022. The theme of the contest was “Vintage”. The very purpose of the contest was to identify the best photographer. The rules and regulation to be followed while clicking the pictures was communicated to the contestants well in advance.
