About

The Institution of Engineers India [IEI] is the largest multi-disciplinary professional body of engineers, established in 1920 with its Headquarters located in Kolkata and incorporated under Royal Charter on 9th September, 1935 by the then His Majesty of King George V. The Royal Charter endowed the Institution with the responsibility to promote the general advancement of engineering amongst its members and persons attached to the Institution. After Independence, the Institution is a “Body Corporate” protected under Article 372 of the Constitution of India. The Institution of Engineers (India) is administered by a National Council with the President as its Head. The Institution has been serving the engineering fraternity for over a Century with its national and international presence through 125 Centres spread all over India, 6 Overseas Chapters, 6 Fora and an Organ namely Engineering Staff College of India (ESCI), Hyderabad. The Institution encompasses 15 (fifteen) engineering disciplines with a Corporate membership of over 2 lakhs.

Inauguration

The Institution of Engineers India (IEI) chapter of Christ College of Engineering Irinjalakuda was inaugurated by Rev. Fr. John Paliakkara CMI, the Executive Director of Christ College of Engineering on 22nd September 2021. The Key note address was given by Mr. V Vijayachandran Nair (National Council Member IEI), He gave a brief introduction on foundation of IEI and the work done by IEI, He also shared his expertise and experiences on being a member of the IEI.

Inquisitive to explore in-depth from control schemes to advanced inverter configurations The Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering in association with IEDC CCE is organizing a two-day Hands-on Training on Advanced Inverter Paradigms.

Visit to Nirmal Controls

Technical visit

EEE Department has organized a technical visit to Nirmal Controls, Thrissur for the final year students.Students could learn about the metering and instrumentation, automation and maintenance procedures in process industries. 33 Students from final year EEE batch has attended the visit. The visit was coordinated and supported by Ms. Anagha Miss and Ms. Seena Miss. We express our sincere gratitude to John Achan, Joy Achan, Antony Achan, Sajeev Sir and John Sir for extending all the guidance.

NEON STARS

Distribute NEON STARS to CCE family members

The EEE department could distribute NEON STARS to CCE family members under the leadership of Benny Sir and Aneesh Sir with the help of final year students. Our sincere thanks to all CCE members for supporting this initiative by buying the stars. Mega Project Expo

Project Expo

The institute is hosting Mega Project Expo on 29/05/2023 tomorrow at 11:30 am in Open Auditorium. Mr. Christo George, Chairman and Managing Director, Hykon India Ltd, Thrissur will be the Chief Guest for the event. We will be honouring the chief guest at 11 am in Conference Hall. All are invited for both the functions to make it a grand success.
