Stories Beyond the Campus
The Department of Mechanical Engineering and RPM at Christ College of Engineering, Irinjalakuda, successfully hosted the inspiring alumni interaction session "Stories Beyond the Campus" on September 9, 2025. The event featured two esteemed alumni: Mr. Abhijith Jose, Corporate OSH Trainer at Zublin Strabag, UAE and Mr. Kiran P Sunilkumar, 4th Engineer at Executive Ship Management, Singapore.

Industrial visit to Pilotsmith (India) Pvt. Ltd., Kallettumkara
We sincerely appreciate our ASME student members — Judit Mariyam John, Anlin Seby K, Benil Benny, Adarsh C.A, Fariz Hassan, Benedict Shaju, and Kiransankar M.S — for their active participation in the industrial visit to Pilotsmith (India) Pvt. Ltd., Kallettumkara , on 13-09-2025. Their enthusiasm, curiosity, and teamwork made the visit academically enriching and practically meaningful.

Three-day SEP on Additive Manufacturing & Product Design
The workshop delivers a detailed overview of 3D printing fundamentals, emphasizing Fused Deposition Modelling (FDM) technology. It blends theoretical knowledge with hands-on activities to cover the complete workflow from designing 3D models to preparing and printing them. Participants will also explore modern tools such as cloud-based CAD platforms and its mobile application and the role of AI in CAD modelling preparing them to work with cutting edge technologies in digital manufacturing.

Industrial Visit
An industrial visit for S1 ME students to Dairy Plant, Kerala Veterinary and Animal Sciences University, Mannuthy. This fruitful visit provided the students with insights into the application of Heat Transfer principles, understanding of Material Handling and Packaging Machinery, exposure to Industrial Safety and Hygiene practices, understanding of Industrial Refrigeration and Cooling systems, and familiarity with Pumps, Piping, and Fluid Flow systems.

The visit provided students with valuable insights into industrial practices, quality control procedures, and the practical applications of mechanical engineering—particularly in machine tools and manufacturing processes.

A delegation of 12 S6 Mechanical Engineering students and ASME CCE members from Christ College of Engineering, Irinjalakuda (Autonomous), recently marked a significant milestone by participating in ASME Efx , a prestigious All-India festival hosted by St. Joseph's College of Engineering and Technology, Pala .

The Department of Mechanical Engineering, Christ College of Engineering, Irinjalakuda organized ACME’25 – Capstone Project Expo for the final year Mechanical Engineering students of Batch 2021–25. The expo provided a platform for students to showcase their innovative engineering projects, technical skills, and research outcomes to faculty members, industry experts, and fellow students.

Introduction to Autonomous Vehicles
The session on Introduction to Autonomous Vehicles was an insightful and informative discussion led by Mr. Aswin Unni, currently working at Hyundai Motors. Mr. Aswin has a background in autonomous vehicles and has participated in the SAE ABJA Competition, where he gained hands-on experience in designing and implementing autonomous systems. His expertise provided a valuable learning experience for all participants.
