Cherai Beach Clean Up Activity
Mechanical engineering students enthusiastically volunteered and participated in a beach cleaning activity as part of the National Service Scheme (NSS) initiative. With a commitment to environmental stewardship, our team of mechanical students organized and executed a comprehensive beach cleaning campaign.

Vegetable Garden in Campus
To reduce the use of poisoned vegetables and maintain good health NSS volunteers have started their vegetable garden. They cleaned up the unused place behind the boys hostel and planted all the vegetable sapplings in a beautiful manner.

'THANAL' initiative for Mentally Challenged Children
As part of Maschinen Fest, the S5 ME students visited Ashanilayam - School for Mentally Challenged Children on 30/10/2023. The initiative named Thanal was conducted with an objective to spend some quality time with the children of this special school. S5 ME students who had previously sold around 200 bulbs manufactured with the help of Reshma Ma'am (Physics Dept.) donated the profit from that sale with Ashanilayam. Magazine Launch at Orphanage
Students of S7 Mechanical Engineering joyfully celebrated the launch of the sixth volume of the magazine "Infinity" by spreading happiness and warmth with the children from a local orphanage. This heartwarming event not only marked the release of creative works but also fostered a sense of community and compassion as students shared the joy of literature and art with those in need. The initiative reflects the commitment of the students to making a positive impact .

Today September 24 th , celebrated as NSS day. NSS UNIT 339 is happy to celebrate this day by cleaning the Railway Station at Kalletumkara. We ensure that more events will be conducted.

Clean Campus Campaign
MANASU NANNAVATTE ✨ NSS unit 339, conducted a cleaning event in our college today, and we are overwhelmed to announce we had about 47 students from S3 to help us. Also, this event was part of the selection of new Volunteers for batch 2023-25.

Cleaning the Railway Station at Chalakudy
On 20th March 2023, the NSS Unit No: 588 of Christ College of Engineering, Irinjalakuda demonstrated their commitment to community service by cleaning and painting the surroundings of Chalakudy Railway Station on 20th March 2023. The Cleaning programs was done by the NSS volunteers of Christ College Of Engineering. The Railway Station Cleaning and Painting Old Chairs at Railway" was initiated with the aim of contributing to the cleanliness and aesthetics of our local railway station.

Planting saplings for sustainable ecosystem
On October third 2022, the NSS Unit No:588 coordinated a Tree Manor Drive at Christ College of Engineering, Irinjalakuda. The drive was expected to advance natural mindfulness among the undergrads and the nearby local area. The occasion began at 9 am toward the beginning of the day, and it was held at the area behind St Mary's block in the college premises.

Solid Waste Management Unit (SWMU)
The Solid Waste Management Unit developed by Mechanical Students(2022-26 batch) is an innovative solution designed to tackle the challenges of solid waste management within the college campus. This unit serves as a comprehensive system for efficiently collecting, segregating, and processing waste generated by the campus community.

Construction of garden bench from reused bamboo
This report frames the method involved with making a seat from reused bamboo logs. The venture was embraced after the finish of our college tech fest, where there were a lot of extra bamboo logs that were not being used. Collectively, the volunteers chose to reuse the bamboo to make something utilitarian and useful to the local area. The group comprised of five people who were talented in carpentry, and the task was finished in 2 days beginning from 14 May 2022

Visit to House of Providence
The Mechanical Engineering students visited House of Providence(old age home) in Irinjalakuda, Kerala. The orphanage is run by Malabar missionary brothers and is home to over 50 peoples, above the age of 50.Students were informed to bring food and other supplies to donate to the old age home. The group containing 42 new students along with 5 NSS volunteers was led by Mr. Vivek C Ravi and Ms. Chippy Jojo.
