To make this quarantine period productive by creating helpful applications, CSI student Chapter, Christ College of Engineering conducted an App development competition, Covid 19 Diary. The contest was on the topic : Mobile application to keep a record of the travel and contact details of a person.

Beach Hack 2022

BEACH HACK is a 24-hour hackathon, which bring computer programmers and software developers to collaborate and find an innovative solution to some of the problems we face in our society, and simultaneously improve their critical and creative thinking. BEACH HACK 4, the much-awaited 4th season of BEACH HACK was planned to be held on 20th and 21st of May 2022 on the shores of Azhikode beach, Kodungallur. Unfortunately, due to the bad weather we conducted the program in online mode this year.

ENGINEERS’ DAY

On 15th Sep 2021, the Engineers’ Day, CODe, Tinkerhub and GDSC together provided an opportunity to interact with Ms. Farha Kareem, The CEO of Meet Resume and a Software Development Engineer at Amazon, who is also known for her vlogs in YouTube and Podcasts in Spotify. The program was coordinated by Ms, Raisa Varghese, our core committee lead.

bootUp Web Development Bootcamp

CSI Student Chapter of Christ College Of Engineering,Irinjalakuda organized an offline overnight bootcamp on web development.It was held on 10th and 11th of march 2023. The session started at 6:30 pm on 10th march and ended at 5:00 pm on 11th march 2023.

AUTOMATIC HAND SANITIZER DISPENSER

The rising awareness of contagious infections and the importance of maintaining hand hygiene with liquid soap, hand sanitizer, or with rubbing alcohol among individuals is boosting segment growth in the wake of COVID-19. By reducing physical contact, an automated dispenser keeps viruses from spreading around in communal areas. Therefore we have built the simplest, low-cost automated sanitizer dispenser without using Arduino. The automation is done using proximity sensors

Value Added Course on Blockchain

Organized blockchain workshop on 14th and 16th Nov 2022 for S3 and S5 students of department of computer science and engineering.Coordinators were Ms. Bhagyasree PV & Ms. Magniya Davis.Student Coordinators were Mr. Surya Kiran PM & Ms. Jacin Joy.The program was aimed to bridge the gap between academics and industry need. The session was handled by Mr. Abhilash Sreedharan, Blockchain developer, TCS Kochi. It was a two day workshop given to S3 and S5 cse students.

Value Added Course On Django

Dept. of Computer Science hosted a Value Added programme on Django-framework. Mr. Anu C, Principal Software Engineer of Digitivy Technology Solutions, led the hands-on training. There were 46 students present for the event. The purpose of this training was to train participants on the concept of Django-framework and to give a start kick to the world of development. Training included various topics such as HTML, Python, CSS along with the integration of all of these into a single framework.
