An orientation session was conducted today for S5 EC & S5 CE students about NPTEL courses by CCE NPTEL Local Chapter SPOC Angitha Ma'am. The importance and benefits of NPTEL courses were clearly explained in the session.

SAE India Autonomous Drone Development Challenge 2024
A team of 10 talented students from S7 ECE participated in the SAE India Autonomous Drone Development Challenge 2024 held at KCG College of Technology, Karapakkam, TN. Their team developed an advanced autonomous drone designed to execute pick-up and drop missions with precision, efficiency and innovative design. Prior to this, the team attended a workshop at SRM College, Chennai, which aids the development of their drone.

As part of space fest ' Bhumika 2024' Department of ECE conducted an outreach programme to Santhinikethan Public School, Irinjalakuda. The programme included a Space Awareness Session, Quiz and a Dance drama.

Department of ECE organised an industry interactive session on 16th august 2024. The resource person Mr. Don Michael, an AMD firmware development specialist shared insights into the diverse departments within AMD and their distinct functions. His presentation provided a comprehensive view of the industry, underscoring both technical skills and personal attributes crucial for career success.

Three days hands on session in App Development as a part of the Student Enrichment Program was conducted on 7th,8th & 9th of August for S3 ECE students. The students acquired hands-on experience with current development tools and frameworks, enhancing our technical skills and understanding of real-world application.

Three days hands-on session in Electronic Product Design using PCB as a part of the Student Enrichment Program was conducted on 22, 23 & 24th of August for S3 ECE students. The session imparted knowledge in PCB tool Orcad - Drawing the schematic, designing the layout, Routing, Etching & Drilling.

Our S2 ECE students visited CMET, Athani,They got to explore the state-of-the-art facilities, including the nanofabrication lab, semiconductor characterization lab, and the materials synthesis unit. They also witnessed live demonstrations of cutting-edge technologies and interacted with the experts, gaining valuable insights into the latest advanced materials science and its applications.

Industry Visit
At RFMW Innovations, selected students got the opportunity to interact with the engineers including our own alumni and visit the ongoing R&D work and lab facilities. To our great pleasure, Dr. Hemanth Gaddam, the MD himself interacted with our students and we could discuss the prospects of more opportunities for our students in pursuing final year projects and internships.

Industry Visit
At IISc, on the Open Day, students visited the state of the art research facilities in the country, especially the Chip fabrication and characterization labs and cleanrooms, about which they learn in VLSI Circuit Design Course. They also got the opportunity to visit projects and research outputs of various departments and interact with faculty and scholars from the institute.
