On October 13, 2021, at 2:00 PM, the "Key to Success" video talk series, Episode 5, was conducted online via Google Meet. 2019 batch students visit Chethana studios, Thrissur ECE Department organized a one day industrial visit to Chethana Sound Studios, Thrissur for S4 ECE students. It was an opportunity to study various acoustic techniques used to enable quality recording and reproduction of music and audio for professional requirements.

The "Simulation-Based Learning: Learn With 20 Tinkercad" workshop was conducted on June 24, 2022, commencing at 10:30 AM. This interactive learning session took place offline and aimed to provide students with practical insights into electronics and simulation tools. Aparna K, the student coordinator, played a pivotal role in organizing this hands-on workshop. It was exclusively designed for students belonging to the 2020-24 batch.

Student Training Evaluation

The Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering conducted a one-day Value added course on Tinkercad for the first-semester ECE students. The sessions were held on 12 November 2021. The resource person for the session was Ms. Sreelekha T, Assistant Professor of department of ECE. The active participants were provided with E-Certificates. The course aimed to provide hands-on experience in circuit design using Tinkercad, a popular platform for designing and simulating circuits.

Value Added Course on Introduction to computer hardware & chip level service

Value Added Course on Introduction to computer hardware & chip level service conducted for S2 ECE students under the guidance of Mr.Aswin K M on 16/08/2022.The students are able to understand the basics of computer hardware and are able to perform troubleshooting. They also learnt about various SMD components and were able to identify the faulty ones ,replace them with new ones if necessary.Learnt and practiced soldering and also worked with SMD workstation.

AR/VR WORKSHOP

The Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering conducted a one-day hands on workshop on Augmental and Virtu22. The resourceal Reality (AR/VR). Resource person for the session was Ms. Soorya, CEO, Manas VR lab Pvt. Ltd. The active participants were provided with E-Certificates. The course aimed to provide hands-on experience for students to get knowledge in AR/VR and to build an application on their own.The course was designed to enable the student to build AR application.

Synapse

On Jan 7, 2022 Department of Electronics and Communication of Christ College of Engineering hosted a 1 day workshop on ‘Basics to Arduino Boards’ named SYNAPSE at Government Model Girls HSS.The workshop was organised as part of the student outreach program. A total of 25 Students were present during the session. The aim of the workshop was to train the younger minds to adapt with the fast developing technology and help them work creatively with their projects.

Workshop on “Introduction to design for Testability

A workshop on “Introduction to design for Testability’’ was Conducted by the Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering on 30th June 2021at 6pm. The session was led by Ms. Veena K, Product Development Engineer II DFT, Anora Semiconductors. The Session mainly focused on testing of Digital Circuits and she inspired the students to get placed in core companies. The company gave a consent to conduct a recruitment drive for 2017-2021 batch ECE students of our college.

IETE Foundation Day Celebrations & talk on skill development

The 68th IETE Foundation Day celebrations of IETE Kochi Centre was organized on 20th November 2021 hosted by ISF unit of Christ College of Engineering, Irinjalakuda in online mode. Mr Tony C Thomas, Staff Coordinator of ISF unit of the host institution welcomed the gathering. The foundation day message from President, IETE was read by Mr. M N Narayanan, Vice-Chairman, IETE Kochi Centre. Fr John Paliakara CMI, Executive Director, Christ College of Engineering, Irinjalakuda, delivered the opening.
